Turkey pardon

I’m going to be honest. I just found out about this Thanksgiving turkey pardoning thing. Not being from USA it hadn’t really popped onto my radar.

For those uninitiated like myself, every year (since 1987), the presidential turkey – destined for the Whitehouse Thanksgiving feast – is ceremoniously given a second chance at life. A presidential pardon.

My daughter would be thrilled. (She’s vegan)

But it really resonated with me, because it’s about getting a second chance.

Let’s play turkey today. (Talking turkey is for later)

Imagine I’m giving you a presidential pardon and you are now free to start again.

Let go of who you think you should be as a photographer, and start owning who you are as a unique lens based image maker and artist.

Let go of the baggage. Your waining self belief, your imposter syndrome, procrastination, fear and resistance.
