I don’t think I would have survived the last few weeks without the support of Chat GPT and AI.

(What? the dreaded enemy??!!! WTF!!)

Fear not. I’m not talking about AI generated images or even Emails (no, this is still me; human content is more important than ever).

I’m talking about the space it’s given me to do the bits of my job I love the most, so I can help more lens-based image makers. Like creating more workshops, being available for more 1-1 calls and editing and Blitzing photographers’ work. Those are the things that light me up, give me energy and flow.

You probably use Chat GPT & AI already (and I’m guessing you sussed out Midjourney way back when it all started).

But if you haven’t already, consider using AI to help with other aspects of your business, particularly the marketing stuff I know you just love so much (NOT). You can get it to research target clients, create 90 day plans, summarise information, manage your content and yes- refine your writing, grammar and spelling.

This actually means you can spend more time doing the human stuff:

  • Creating personal projects with emotion and depth (something advertising folks are hiring real human photographers for because well- they’re not fake)
  • Making real human connections with humans who hire humans.
  • Developing your brand so it doesn’t look like the wallpaper we’re seeing scrolling through the AI generated ads in our social media feeds.

The key is not see AI as the enemy but to embrace and play with it, and best of all, figure out how it can be you new marketing assistant.

Then get on with doing what you do best- creating work which will inspire people to hire you and elevate you beyond the banal.
