‘Things aren’t what they used to be’
‘We used to get better fees 10 years ago than we do now’
‘It’s not worth the effort- no one appreciates photographers any more’
Sound familiar?
These are quotes from many older jaded photographers I met in 1996 when I decided to start repping photographers in New Zealand.
Needless to say I ignored them.
As my agency took off, and the work poured in, I watched my photographers purchase their first 4WD vehicles, meet their life partners, get their first homes, have families, install their swimming pools and take amazing holidays.
In most cases their only source of income was from me.
If I had let those afore mentioned ‘old hacks’ and their sad vision of the future influence me maybe I wouldn’t have founded The Collective Force, which is still thriving today.
Maybe I wouldn’t have launched Our Production Team in New Zealand and Australia, who are still producing huge campaigns for well-known photographers from around the world.
If you have a vision, don’t let nay-sayers get in the way.
If you didn’t already hear my free webinar back in January, you might enjoy the replay. It will help you see that anything is possible if you believe it is.
