There are three things you should know about marketing to advertising creatives.
1. Email marketing is a proven effective way to build trust, stay top of mind and inspire ad creatives. It’s way more powerful than social media as you’re getting into their world and you’re driving the bus – choosing when and what to send, and even to whom.
2. Advertising creatives are an extremely niche and unique audience. Their job is to convince people to buy things. Therefore they are extremely sensitive to being ‘sold’ to. If you get it wrong, it can have the opposite effect.
3. If you learn some basic rules on what to write and not to write (and of course the best type of pics to include) you can have a set and forget marketing system which is working for you wherever you are.
And if you’re one of those photographers who’s getting good engagement, replies, and even invitations to folio meetings and job enquiries, KEEP DOING IT!
