The Series Project 2027 Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before registering for The Series Project. By registering and paying a deposit or entering into a payment agreement, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions:

• Organisers: The workshop is organised by Christina Force (Thunk Ltd) and Billy Plummer, and assistants, contractors or representatives appointed by them from time to time, collectively referred to as the "Organisers".
• Attendees: Any photographer accepted onto the Workshop and who enters into a payment agreement with the Organisers shall be referred to as the "Attendee."
• Workshop: The workshop consists of a six week online course component followed by a one week location course component (collectively referred to as the "Workshop" or "Course"). By registering, the Attendee agrees to participate in both components of the Workshop under the terms of these T&Cs.
• Workshop Commencement: The Workshop Commencement Date is the published start date of the online component.

1. Limited Spaces and Participant Selection:

Each photography workshop has a limited number of spaces available. Attendees will be selected based on the information provided immediately after registration. This Workshop is for professional photographers only. If the Organisers feel that the applicant is not suitable the applicant will be advised and the deposit will be refunded within 7 days. In all other cases the deposit is non-refundable.

2. Program Changes:

The Organisers reserve the right to change or alter the program that was initially advertised.  Any changes made will strive to maintain the essence and value of the Workshop experience.

3. Exclusions from Workshop Fee:

The Workshop fee is for the tuition before and during The Series Project course. It does not include: international transportation and transfers, accommodation, ground expenses, insurance and any other travel related costs.   Attendees are responsible for arranging and covering these additional costs.

4. Mandatory Travel Insurance:

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory. All Attendees must arrange and maintain travel insurance which covers them throughout the travel period.  The insurance must include, at minimum: overseas medical cover, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, personal liability, theft, loss or damage to baggage. Proof of insurance (including insurer and policy number) must be provided no later than three (3) days before travel.  The Organisers will not be held liable for any loss, injury, illness, or damage incurred during the Workshop. It is the Attendees' responsibility to ensure adequate insurance coverage.  Failure to provide proof of insurance may result in the Organisers refusing participation without refund.

Attendees are solely responsible for their own equipment and any insurance thereof.

5. Assumption of Risk:

Participation may involve inherent risks associated with international travel and photography in public locations, including but not limited to illness, theft, political or civil disruption, and accidents.  Each Attendee voluntarily accepts these risks and participates entirely at their own risk. Attendees confirm they are medically and physically fit to participate, and are responsible for ensuring they have any medication they may require throughout the Workshop.

6. Organiser Cancellation:

The Organisers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the Workshop where reasonably necessary, including due to insufficient participant numbers, illness or unavailability of the Organisers, or circumstances beyond the Organisers' reasonable control.  In such cases, Attendees will receive at least 1 week's advance notice before the commencement of the Workshop and will be offered an alternative Series Project Workshop.

In the event of Workshop cancellation, international participants are responsible for their own travel expense reimbursements. We strongly recommend purchasing refundable tickets to safeguard against unexpected cancellations.

7. Attendee Cancellation:

If an Attendee decides to cancel their attendance for any reason, they must notify help(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)christinaforce.net in writing.

If cancellation is confirmed at least 6 months before the commencement of the published Workshop start date, the Organisers will reimburse all received payments except the deposit and administrative fees, and any accommodation fees.

If cancellation is confirmed less than 6 months before the commencement of the published Workshop start date, no refund or transfer will be offered to an upcoming Workshop. Furthermore, if a participant is on a payment plan, the full balance of all Workshop fees remains payable. Exceptions are at the sole discretion of the Organisers.

Notwithstanding the above, Attendees may be eligible for a refund if they substitute their place with a replacement Attendee, subject to the following conditions:

• Prior Approval: The proposed replacement Attendee is deemed suitable by the Organisers, at their sole discretion.
• Timing: The replacement process must be completed prior to the online start date of the Workshop.
• Payment and Logistical Settlement:  A substitution is only considered valid once the replacement Attendee has been approved and has agreed to assume all the original financial and logistical commitments of the outgoing Attendee, including but not limited to any accommodation arrangements. The substitution is finalised once the Organisers have received the full Workshop fee (and any applicable agreed costs, such as accommodation) from the replacement Attendee.
